I had the White Sox game on and saw a commercial for Zorn Brewing in Michigan City. Somebody is putting some serious money into this place. Looks nice from the commercial.

Really polished commercial for a place that, as a brewpub, blows. I've stopped by there twice.
First time they had one of their beers up and it was a really unremarkable light session ale. Second time by they had nothing of their own up, and a really week selection of guest beer in general. Like one beer from Sun King and a couple of macros.

I finally scored a pour of your Nefarious Harbor. Good stuff, I really enjoyed it. Still in my exploratory stages of trying out NE Style IPAs. Haven't had any of the famous ones actually brewed in the Northeast yet, but the style is definitely starting to pop up more locally. Also really enjoyed Black Acre's "Bar Seven". Maybe the haziest of the locally brewed examples I've tried.

Make sure you get out to Black Circle when they have a new batch of White Bronco on - as solid as Bar Seven is, I liked White Bronco better. The back-end bitterness of B7 seemed unbalanced and the color was a sickly gray, and while White Bronco wasn't quite as juicy as I'd like, it had a great hue (with a comparable amount of haze as B7) and was much more drinkable in my mind.

Village bottle shop is decent, but they cannot touch the selection of stores in larger cities (Even Indy, which generally pales in comparison to stores I have been in in larger cities like St. Louis.)

What is nice about Lafayette is that you sometimes find good finds because the dumb college kids don't know any better.

Welcome to the Hoosier state, home of some of the dumbest alcohol laws in the nation.

No alcohol on Sunday and no training required to hold a conceal carry permit. Both make perfect sense.

I've never made a decision to skip church due to drinking on Sunday. If the fascists want me to go to church they should ban Saturday sales.

Fruity nuggets was pretty solid, coming from a guy who drinks tree/ trillium most of the time. I stopped at a store somewhere near brownsburg, somewhere near 74, and the beer manager was awesome. Recommended some awesome stuff, and went out of his way to sell me a single of bells black note. I wish I remembered the name of the store because I would recomend it.

I went to Anderson on Tap, great festival I thought. Some really good Gose's and some stouts. Guardian showed up with most of their good beers, Brewlink did as well.

I was most surprised by Anderson local CT Doxey (NE style IPA) and Center Point (Blood Orange IPA).

Not Indiana made beer related, but just an observation and looking for anyone's insight. I saw that Sweetwater was distributing here now. I have a nostalgic place for a couple of their beers, so I was going to pick up a couple six packs. I've been to 3 stores in and around Noblesville and they are all sold out, except the Pineapple IPA. I am wondering if the demand is really that high or was the allotment per store really low for a variety of reasons. I'm leaning towards that latter, because I see Avery beers all over the place in large quantities and they haven't been back all that long either.
