Hey I'm heading to N. Indiana this week and wanted to make some brewery stops, but i get the sense there are laws not allowing kids in them. Is that a state law thing, or are there places that my 1yo can come too?

    Thanks in advance!

I forget what the situation is with Three Floyds(haven't been for a couple years), but I'm at least sure that 18th Street in Gary has one room of their brewpub(away from the bar section) as a family friendly area. I think kids are also allowed on the patio, providing they don't walk through the bar section which is 21+ to access that area, and enter it from the street.

Places that have brewpubs can serve all ages, I'd call or email places you're interested in checking out to double check that they choose to do so

I'm pretty sure Three Floyds doesn't have any restrictions. At least that was the case a few years ago. When I was in there a few months ago by myself, I saw a couple tables with kids, too.

3 floyds definitely allows kids but doesn't exactly cater to them (i.e. No milk, no kids menu offerings). Also, over Easter weekend when we stopped in, they were showing the Exorcist on the TV.

Good point. Even though I said they do allow kids, I don't think I'd take my kids there...at least not until they are quite a bit older.

This is great stuff. I'm going to be more around South Bend / Elkhart, so far sounds like Bare Hands and Evil Czech allow kids, Crooked Ewe, New Paradigm, and that one with the unpronounceable name are 21+.
