Working will never help Tin Man. They despise us and any other craft brewery that threatens their shelf space and their bottom line. They are vastly wrong about Evansville because I view us as an emerging craft beer market if the business levels at Tin Man prove that at all as well as what the managers at Winetree and Liquor Locker tell me.

I misunderstood. I thought you would have to use them for distro. I think the success you guys have had in a few short weeks proves the market is viable. I said nearly the exact same thing on Beer Tracker in Ryan's thread. We just have to scream a little louder and hope thry hear us at the levels above Working

Stores just need to sell more Goose Island. If your local store doesn't carry any, they're never going to get Bourbon Counties.

AAsher part of our problem is our local INBEV distributor has no real interest in craft beer, I have personally called multiple times over the years and basically get written off. It takes a minor miracle to get them to bring in anything that they can get. Still a very old school distributor. Also they have no online presence and so no real way other than calling to get to them.

I was able to land the BCBCS and Cherry Rye in Indy a few days ago, paid just under $25 a piece... I also didn't hesitate to hand my money over.

I could tell you how much we got. I sifted through waiting lists and Beerocracy numbers on Sunday. I'll be putting leftovers on shelves soon. There won't be any Cherry Rye making it onto shelves unfortunately. My numbers aren't indicative of what stores got or are getting. We sell more Goose Island than anyone in Indianapolis and I believe all of Indiana.

If anyone on the North Side of Indy is still looking for Bolt Cutter shoot me a message. Just walked into my little shop and they have 4 left.

We will not be getting any in the Jeff/New Albany area. Both distributors did not get any. There seems to be a lot of finger pointing on who and how they are supposed to order, but for some reason we keep getting the short end of the stick. Whoever the Goose Island state rep is might do themselves a favor and visit the entire state before loading up the top 2/3rds of the state with Goose Island products. I carry and sell a lot of their products in my store and had to pull some teeth to pry any of the regular Bourbon County products earlier this fall. Requests for these beers were made well in advance of their ordering window, and we got nothing again. Also, don't be on the lookout for Night Stalker here either.

I was able to get BCBCS yesterday in Indy at Crown. They also told me they had Cherry Rye, however they weren't selling it because they only got 4 bottles. I asked if it was all reserved and was told it was all for the staff. I get that working at a store has its perks such as getting first dibs on limited releases but I feel if a customer asks for something and you have it, the customer takes priority. I was stoked just be able to get a Coffee but the other part just rubbed me the wrong way. I think they might've felt a little guilty because I bought some other things and was given a discount.

A holiday bonus for the retail employees? as this time of the year is hell for retail workers. Plus, when a store only gets such a small amount of something, somebody (lots of somebodies are going to end up unhappy, there is no way around it) And you got a discount and BCBCS, and they were honest with you about the whole thing. Just as there is no store without customers, there is no store without staff either. I see no reason to be upset about anything here.

Yes, I am a regular customer there. I was extremely happy with getting the BCBCS and the service I have received there over the years. I in no way felt/feel entitled to beer, ever. I wasn't going to on a wild goose chase to get Cherry Rye and was stoked to hear they got some. Am I sad I didn't get one, somewhat, but there is happiness I knowing that i did get a Coffee and that there are many other awesome beers out there that sit on the shelf without having to be on a list, buddy buddy with store workers, etc.
