Indiana Sightings

Anyone know where to get any BCBS variants and/or Bolt Cutter in Southeast Indiana? or Cincinnati/ Northern KY?

 

Best bet would be The Keg in Indiana. Won't find either in Cincy as they violate the alcohol cap. Not sure about the other side of the river.

 

Antzman said Keg is not getting any. I think the whole southern part of the state got the shaft this year

 

Party Town and Jungle Jim's are some of my regulars, I also go to Party Source in Bellevue KY. My local spot is in Lawrenceburg at Whitey's, not the greatest selection.

 

I'm telling you guys that there were less than 300 bottles in Indy....

 

I just got to Brugge in Broadripple for dinner & they have KBS '12, Pannepot '11, & Saint Bon-Chien '11 on tap tonight for the "end of the world" celebration. Thought some of you locals might want to know.

 

Found some BCBS.

 

Coffee in Fishers, Anderson, Muncie (distributed by TA Smith) is going for $35/bottle!! I won't be buying at that price.

Have been seeing more BCBS appearing on the shelves this past week being sold at appropriate prices. September bottling dates. Has it just been sitting in storage or is hitting distro again?

 

It's on the shelf at Kahn's NW again....i didn't check the bottle date though

 

i bought some at payless on 96th last weekend and there was something wrong with 5 out of 8 bottles..the 3 that were good were typically fantastic bcbs..bottle date was 9-17-12 2048(whatever that means)...there were different amounts of beer in almost every bottle..some of the bottles had almost a quarter of an inch less beer in them than normal levels..the beer had a lot of crap floating around in it also..i bought almost 2 cases during the original release that were bottled on 9-20-12 and have drank around 16 of them and they were all fantastic..so im not sure whats up with these random cases showing up after most of it was gone and the quality seeming to be off...im no beer expert but i do know what bcbs is supposed to taste like and these were by far the flattest, oddest tasting ones that i have had to date...luckily i have 8 bottles put up because i wont be buying more this year..

 

Has anyone found Founders IS south of Indy? Hasn't made it down to the southwest corner yet, and I'd like to get a jump on it.

After the early release on the East coast, hoping it is starting to roll down the state.

 

I saw some yesterday at Sahara mart in Bloomington.

 

Did Bloomington, IN ever get any bourbon county cherry? I was able to get a coffee, but i every time i asked for cherry i was told they didn't know, so i eventually stopped asking.

 

I have been told "no" all around the usual spots.

 

Bummer. At least i didn't miss out by being gone over xmas.
