I am in Indianapolis (actually Fishers) for the next couple days and was wondering what are some must-have brews from here, other than Three Floyds, 18th Street, and Sun King?

Well, if you have time and transportation, hit up Black Acre Brewing. Brugge in Broad Ripple is also a must hit.

Uplands seasonal four-packs are usually pretty solid. Most of the rest of the packaged stuff is just whatever, IMO. Some solid ones out there, but nothing I'd consider "must-have".

Def hit up Black Acre if you've got wheels though.

Black Acre, Brugge, and Taxman are all worth a visit. Taxman is a hike from the city depending on where you'll be, but has excellent food and solid beer.

Skip Sun King imo. Upland Coast Buster is worth grabbing a 4-pk of if fresh. Can be had on tap pretty easily.

someone mentioned black acre & brugge so the only other gem I'd recommend is flat 12.

That hurts, mayorQuimby. We've even got three IPAs on right now.

I think the Emergency Hop Kit is worth stopping at an SK location to snag though

That's why I threw "imo" in there. Personally, I prefer other breweries, and there's nothing wrong with that. You're not hurting for my business anyway.

As a couple of others have mentioned, definitely hit up Black Acre if you have transportation, you won't be disappointed. For tap rooms, skip HopCat and hit up 20 Tap instead, your wallet will thank you.

Constantly hear hopcat is high, just looked at the menu and saw most beers were 5 to 6$, if you want 3$ beers might want to switch to domestic.

If you are still in town on the 29th a new place is opening on 79th/Michigan called Deviate. I haven't been this excited for a new brewery to open

Right now I agree the prices don't look too bad. Haven't been in a couple months, one of the reasons being prices were bad, such as $12 for a 10oz pour of Arctic Panzer Wolf. Maybe they are trying to regain some goodwill, who knows. Based on my visits they weren't doing amazing business. No issues walking right in to a table on Friday/Saturday nights.

Prices and pour size are also the reason I haven't been there in several months. Its just too easy to find other bars/breweries that have better deals on the same beers. I did, however, really enjoy the night they had Cantillon Fou' Foune and a bunch of special beers from 18th Street. Don't mind paying more for special nights like that.

Daredevil is producing some excellent beers. You should be able to find fresh lift off IPA and Vacation kolsch in 4 packs around town. if you go down to the brewery in speedway, you can get crowler fills of some of their other offerings, Rip Cord, Muse, Carnival, JWP. it's about a 30 minute drive from fishers, exact opposite side of 465. Facility is beautiful and worth the trip if you have time. check their twitter feed for draft list: https://twitter.com/DaredevilBeerTR

My bad! Quick typing on the IPhone. Their opening beer list looks pretty good. Looking forward to the Hawaiian Stout.

I wish them luck but that's going to be a tough location though. I've lived in that area for 10+ years now and have seen that spot they are in change businesses about 6-7 times and be vacant about half of the time. Nobody seems to last very long there because it is hard to see the signage from Michigan Road and it is tough to turn into the parking lot if you are traveling east on 96th st (due to the westbound land of 96th always backing up). Also you can't turn into the place from Southbound Michigan due to the median.
