This is great news. I'm attending with family, they go to the race every couple of years, so we will be there early. They didn't tell me I could take a cooler of beer though, so thanks!

At the moment I've got some interesting cans!

    MadTree Galaxy High
    Creature Comforts Tropicalia
    Creature Comforts Cosmik Debris
    Good People Snake Handler

Probably not much else special coming out, but I could definitely bring some of this to the track.

I'll do my best to get the freshest cans of Todd the Axeman and TG pseudo Sue, but those canning dates will probably be mid-late April. If we really could get a small group of people together for a can-share on race morning, I would lug in some Surly cans and any other Minnesota locals I get requests for.

I am totally down to do this. My friends and I plan to sit in turn 3 as we did last year, wouldn't put us far past turn 4 and/or Snake Pit.

One of my friends lives in Indy so he might be able to pull some fresh local stuff out as well.

One of my other friends is from Chicago, so I might be able to persuade him to bring some things too.

Deviate does NOT have plastic bullets for sale but they will fill your own with the IPA. Deviate sells an insulated growler (not cheap) which you can bring into the track. Otherwise, I'm sure other breweries in the area sell the plastic growlers or you can probably find them online. Usually they are bullet (32oz) size.

Flat 12 used to sell plastic growlers, not sure if they still do. It's close to downtown; you could probably just buy one there without filling it.

I was at the track for a bit today and saw one of their mobile craft beer stands. It wasn't open, but a sign had logos for Daredevil Brewing, Triton, and Flat 12. The sign also said $8. I picked up some cans for the weekend on the way home.

I'll be at Indy for my 15th in a row. Unfortunately all my buddies drink Bud Light so that's what I'm stuck with. I'm jealous of all you guys enjoying good beer at The Great American Race. Have fun

If I were going to the track I'd be drowning in Black Acre Natural Liberty & Central State House.

Those are the perfect beers for the race. And Natural Liberty was just canned this week.

Are Black Acre cans generally available around town or just at the brewpub?

You can find them at most Payless Liquors and some Crown stores.

As we get a little closer to Saturday, does anyone want to nail down a time and a place to meet for the can share?

I'm thinking somewhere around Turn 3 or Turn 4. Any time is ok with me, we are planning to get to the track probably around 8 am.

I'll be at the track probably around 7. Any time before the race will probably work for me. I sit on the tower terrace so inside turn 4 would be most convenient for me personally.

Hello from the other Indy thread. I'll bring 10 or 12 Chicago local cans. Say when, say where, I'll try to pop by if my team leader allows it. I'm at turn 1, I've never really done much wandering the other times I've been. Not really a car race guy, but I love the green flag and the roar of the first lap, so I can meet up any time but then

There's a gravel parking lot behind the North Vista just before you hit the NW Vista as you head into turn 4. It's just past the bridge (going from three towards four) that goes over the top of the Hulman Blvd tunnel. I would propose meeting there around 9:30am.

I'll be standing on my cooler holding a Treehouse Bright into the sky as a beacon for everyone (kidding...I think)

I think I know where you are referring to, but I thought that lot was paved. Is this the place? I put a little marker where I think you are referring to.

I see - the "NW Vista Gravel Parking". Google maps doesn't show that as a gravel parking lot so that's why I was confused.

Any requests for Minnesota/Wisconsin cans I can bring?
