Indy 500 Weekend

That list posted by @Benjhilmer definitely hit all the major places, but one update to his list would be that the Bier Brewery does in fact sell pints every day they're open... which is awesome, because their beer is excellent.

I'd also recommend trying anything you find from Scarlet Lane Brewing - the brewery is located in McCordsville, which is quite a haul from the SW side of town, but they have pretty good distribution to bars and restaurants all over Indy. Personal favorite is their Dorian coconut stout, but the Vivian red IPA and Silas saison are also quite good.

 

Looks like Scarlet Lane is now canning. Saw some at Kahn's this week.

 

Really?! That's fantastic, I've long wanted to send their stuff to friends or bring it on trips. Which ones did you see?

 

They had three styles. Vivian Red for sure, McCordsville Pale (I think), and can't remember the third (sorry).

Along with Taxman probably my 2 favorite Central Indiana breweries. Picked up a growler and 3 bullets on Sunday! Love BIER!

 

Of the 13 breweries I visited between Indy and Columbus, Black Acre was deservedly at the top of the list.
