I'm going to visit Indy for Thanksgiving and was looking for bottleshops to hit. Now living there in 2000-2002 we always hit Kahn's, so i know of that location. Any places to check in Southport, Carmel etc can be included. I will have a vehicle so driving is not an issue.

    TYIA!

There is a Crown liquors on Southport Rd. that will fulfill your needs if you are staying in the area. Otherwise, Crown downtown at corner of Delaware and Ohio is where it's at. Vine and Table in Carmel is decent, also, Payless on 96th Street, though that store is a bit of a CF, a lot of decent bottles not even on the shelves, just sitting in closed cases in front of the shelves. Parti-Pak on 96th St as well.

Used to think Kahn's was $ but since I moved back to Indy this year after a few years away, have been disappointed.

I agree with the Crown downtown. They have a huge selection and don't tend to hold things behind the counter. Crown on 106th and Michigan is also good. I think it's a sleeper that gets forgotten about.

Cheers and good luck with your beer hunting!

Thanks guys! I'm mainly just gonna be going around and shopping for what stuff i cant get local here in Florida..but also hoping to get some Alpha King, Pear Bear and Zombie Dust as well as other things that don't get Florida Distro. My buddy has been hoarding Upland sours for me from the past 3 sales, so thats covered. I think they are happy that i am bringing lots of Cigar City stuff.

ZD will be a complete crapshoot. Most likely you won't find bottles (though it's frequently on draft around town). Alpha King and Yum Yum are the only FFF's beers that are remotely easy to obtain. For FFF's bombers, Crown downtown and Vine and Table in Carmel have been good for me lately.

I had not had a Dreadnaught in forever and there are bottles in town bottled on 10/19 right now. I had one Friday and thought it was heavenly.

The airport is in a craft beer dead zone. What direction are you going to be heading from there? Unless you are heading west, you'll have decent options.

Unfortunately West but if there is anything northwest that may work. Will be at Christmas. actually driving to middle Illiniois from there which is also a dead zone for Craft Beer sans Disthil.

I thought Destihl sucked. Check out Triptych if it's on your route. If you're heading out I-74 you can go to Daredevil which is at/near the Speedway.

If you want Pear Bear be ready to shell out some $. The bomber I found was $23. It was good, but not sure it was $23 good.

yeah i figured that, i think someone said it was $18 @ 3F, so it's not that much of a markup. My area in Florida we get very little sours, so i am used to paying for them.

That is definitely in the cards. Daredevil looked like a really cool spot and I really like their tap handles.

You should be able to find Pear Bear for $18ish. I've seen it around. If I were you I'd snag a bottle of Wig Splitter. Best coffee stout I've had in a long time. Exceptional and $12-$13 I believe.

I usually have good luck finding Zombie Dust at Kahn's. Usually you have to ask for it, as they do not stock it on the self.

Just passed through Indy and was very pleased with Crown #21 on 106th and Michigan. Great selection and a ton of FFF bombers including Alpha Kong.

I found some Pear Bear at Payless Liquor straight down the street from Crown off Michigan for $18.99 per bomber.
