Indy area tasting group?

    Yeah, Valentine's Day is a bit dicey for this married guy. 21st should work for me. Invitation only or can we bring a friend? If so, I might bring a buddy to share the long drive from the NW side.

    At least for meeting up at the brewery, anyone can show up. Not too sure about the bottle share part as that all depends on where it'll be held (if at the brewery somehow, then still anyone can join in).

    I'm 100% in for a share/meet-up and appreciate you taking the initiative to get something started. Wife and I are out of town weekend of Feb 20/21. Am up for anything, basically any other weekend after that. If this goes down on the 21st I will try to get traction on another meet-up a month or so later.

    When I lived in DC there were a few shares at a bar in the city where they basically gave us access to a private area to have a share, with the expectation that everyone would buy something (i.e., a beer, meal, appetizer, etc.). That worked out really well until the last time, when no one tipped the staff that had been serving everyone and cleaning up, and the group wasn't welcome back (at least that's the story that was posted on BA, I wasn't in attendance on that occasion)...

    Some food for thought if Taxman would let a group in for a share. They also have an upstairs area that would probably be perfect if they'd allow it.

    I don't live terribly far from Taxman. I love it there. Outside beer is such a tricky thing in Indiana.

    Not super friendly when I asked about bottle share said I need to talk to someone else. I asked "who" said not sure, "ok" thanks...

    Bottle share is out at taxman they said they are not allowed to do that but would love for us to come if we still wanted.

    Ha, for real? I'm near Southport and Emerson. Btw, I'm opening up a Mocha Wednesday tomorrow at around 6:30pm at my store (Crown #2 on Southport Rd.). Feel free to stop by any time after that if you or anyone else want a pour of that and other beers I'll be sampling out.
