Indy Broad Ripple/Bulter Tasting Group

    Always seems like any tastings in Indy are always on the outer reaches of the city. I figure there have got to be a few BAs in the Broad Ripple/Butler area that we could maybe throw together a tasting group. I hope to keep it close to this area so makes it easy to get to, I prefer to walk or bike to these type of things.

    Thought I would throw that out there see if there is any interest.

    i live on the NW side, but would love to do something like this if i could make it work.....wife is 37.5 weeks pregnant so my scheduling right now is pretty limited...

    Looks like we got a good start. I won't discriminate the non Broad Ripple folks are welcome. The more the merrier but you will be required to bring only whales. :slight_smile: Here is the list so far:
    MordorMongo - Far North
    TallPaul07 - Broad Ripple?
    myersk27 - NorthWest
    Shagtastic - Northside
    jwb06 - Broad Ripple
    CWBlues - Broad Ripple
    aasher - Fishers
    ballardbrewer - Butler
    We could even handle a few more people since not everyone will always be able to make every tasting. I was hoping we could get something semi regular going. I know one of the hardest parts of these things is finding a place to meet. I figure once people get to know each other that gets easier. I may be able to host but I have a 2 month old baby so it makes it hard. I did email upland to see if maybe we could use that back area in the tasting room. Anybody know of any other place that would be good, would Brugge allow this?

    alright I just threw a bunch of stuff out there to see what people thought.

    Triton Brewery is usually pretty cool with this sort of thing. I wouldn't mind hosting but my apartment isn't that big. I'm sure we could work something out somewhere though.

    My wife and I would be up for something every once in a while. Like aasher, we're in Fishers. Two teenagers make our lives busy, but it alleviates the need for babysitters.

    Also I heard back from the Upland tasting room and they said we could do it there. They just have a few rules like they have to open the bottles and they can cut anyone off at anytime.

    Looks like we also have a few volunteers that say they can host. So if someone wants to volunteer to do the first one they can. I would say they get to have preference over the day/time since it is their place.

    If no one wants to jump in and do the host first we can just go ahead and set a day and I will contact Upland and see if it works for them.
