    Yeah the canning service sounds great, limited lifespan on the beer but would enable you to enjoy a particular favourite outside of the festival.

    Looks cracking lads, would love to make it over some year.

    No doubt the cask warriors will be chiming in soon with their objection to over priced "craft" beer.

    Plenty of cask on sale and the prices have always been fine when I've been.

    The best thing about it is the venue. As it's listed they tightly control the numbers of people so it never gets rammed, unlike every other beer festival of note I've ever been to.

    Main reason I am going is the venue and how it is run. Also the amount of fringe events in Manchester outside of the main festival in other bars and food spots. BBNo has a tap takeover in the Brewdog bar and other eateries are doing 25% of breakfasts for beer fest attendees.

    Fellas, think I'm going to head down Sunday - battle through work Monday.
    One concern I have - is it likely that someone could run out of beers by then, do you think? Will all the best beers get drunk before then?
    I assume Sunday still has tickets because work commitments the next day... but are there other drawbacks?

    I haven't heard anyone who has had an issue with them running out of beer over the weekend.
    They only serve 1/3 and 2/3 pint measures and probably only 1/3 on the big abv stuff.
    I am there Fri and Sat eve, but mates get full fat tickets and never have issues, even Sunday is awash with bevies.

    Cheers @Goudie. Sounds good to me. Beer list looks great.

    What's the guide prices on 1/3 & 2/3? Do they use a token system? Do they have card facilities on site? (if all this info is on the website, forgive me. I have tried to find it, honest!)

    no bother, their info is mainly fed out through twitter.
    Price is usually based on abv, so it will change beer to beer. It is a token system and although there are card facilities on site you are advised to bring cash as it is just quicker. Everything is token based, so food as well.
    The beer list is awesome!
