You are mostly correct. Check out Heady Spotter (http://www.headyspotter.com) for retail locations and delivery schedules. Also, a quick search in this form will yield some helpful tips. I've had luck getting cases at Hunger Mountain in Montpelier. Best of luck! I'd imagine that fewer tourists this time of year will make for an easier search.

 

Yes, you are correct about location. You wont find it more than 20-30 miles from the brewery. However, the distribution days vary from store-to-store. This is the best place to start http://alchemistbeer.com/buy/. As you'll notice, there is Monday-Friday availability depending on where you go. My favorite place to score it is also at Hunger Mountain, and what's great is if you get there early and grab a case (max limit), you can go around the corner to the gas station and grab another 4-pack if you want more.

 

If your search for Heady is as successful as your search for information on this site, the Alchemist site, or any of the myriad sources of information out there, good luck. If you come up dry, cans are available to drink at a number of bars, which can be found by searching this site and the other internet resources.

 

Just go back and search some of the older threads about finding Heady. It's been said to many times already.

OP, you should be able to find plenty of Heady during the week. Just figure out where you'll be and when and start calling those stores for info on delivery times.

 

Just browsing the New England forums and came across this thread - pleasing to know you guys get the same constant threads about Heady as we do Pliny in the Pacific forum, haha

That's funny...I was in SF during SF Beer Week and brought some HF, Heady, and Lawson's SoS. Shared some with the staff at Monk's and Mikkeller and all were claiming Heady and SoS better than Pliny. Amusing how everyone there was creaming their pants over the VT stuff.
