    That very well could have been too, he happened to be busy during the time I was drinking it and my wife was talking to me so I didn't really have a chance to mention it while it was in my glass.

    Shit, now that you mention it, I may really be over-thinking this, could have just been the wrong beer.

    Sometimes stouts can have an almost sour acidic twang to them.

    What kind of keg did the narwhal replace? Usually when you replace a keg there is still some leftover beer in the line. So if that had been one of the first several pours, it could have been a mix of the two beers which would explain the color and taste difference.

    I suggest going back to the bar and trying it again.

    I haven't had the chance to try Narwhal yet, but from what everyone is saying, I would guess maybe the wrong beer was poured by mistake.
