Any idea what the date/time stamps were on your BCBBWs? Based on our close BCBCS stamps, I'm guessing we were buying nearby each other.

My two bottles are 28OCT15 1617 and 1619. I haven't opened either yet because I prefer these with some time on them, but someone else posted that 28OCT15 1608 was infected, so I'm a bit nervous.

My BW was not good. Going to go home and see if I can dig up the bottle.

So is the moral of this story that we are all gonna line up like morons again next year to pour our money back down the drains????

OR: Are we going to pay another few bucks and mail all of these bottles back to the fine gents at Goose and include a note with how many bottles you bought this year and that you wont be buying anymore until they make good???

We all know how to ship beer, the address is plain as day, and the message would be clear to them.

But it sure is easier to complain about it and live with being shafted.

I had a whole 12 bottle case. Everyone of them was fine.

Or you could just call them... on the number on the back of the bottle.
From all reports (and there have been many on this thread) they have been very helpful, taken a heap of information, and are going to get back to everyone asap with a resolution...

But yeah... you fight that system...

I haven't read the entire thread to avoid the nonsense I've already seen but GI before InBev wasn't perfect and had infected beer. Matilda comes to mind off the top of my head. Unfortunately it happens to big and small sometimes. Whether it's Deschutes, Boulevard, Bruery, and of course Central Waters :slight_frown:, etc. Even New Belgium that never seems to have issues had a batch of pumpkick recalled.

Hey - you're not supposed to say stuff like that...it's only the big corporations that mess up, duh.

10/28 1817 No bourbon smell just weird funk. Tasted terrible. Drain pour.
Had some on tap on black Friday and enjoyed it. Very sad, I'll be calling gooseme in the morning.

28Oct15 1254 BCBBW is completely infected. I'm so disappointed! Was thinking there's no way I'd have one of the bad bottles but decided to open one of my 2 and as soon as I cracked it I could smell the sour. This is not a good sour - more of a bitter, tart, strange brew with none of the normal sweet smoothness - not mildly sour either, this tastes like someone was going for a sour but got it all wrong. Kind of reminds me of Boulevard BBQ but in a gross way. Not sure if I should open my other bottle which is 29Oct15.

This is seriously BS! I was planning to drink the first bottle now and let the other one rest. I still have some '13 and '14 BCBBW but looks like '15 won't be a part of my cellar now. I better get a refund from GI and not sure if Bourbon County will get me excited next time around. I was already annoyed at the stupid 4 oz increase and moving to single bottles vs 4-packs and less availability. Going away from the awesome 12 oz format in 4 packs was a terrible decision. Smaller bottles are always better for big beers, especially if you don't always have someone to share with. I loved that I could buy 4, and not feel like it was such a commitment to drink one solo. Goose done fucked up 2015. Rant over (unless I don't get my refund and/or if bottle # 2 is also bad)

Wonder if any taprooms are running into infected kegs? We probably would not hear if they did - they would be quietly swapped out by the distributor.

there's a bcbs event happening soon in chicago, at a bar. they posted a picture of what they'll offer and it looked like all the bcbs (this years) was coming from cases/boxes. i'm curious how that will turn out.

10/28 1718. Bought on Black Friday and kept in fridge. Had it on 1/6, thought it was great. No issues, it was my only one and I wish I had more.

I drank a 29OCT15 0810 last night and it definitely had off, tart flavors that put me off from finishing it. I enjoy "sours" (just lumping them all together there), but the flavors didn't work for me in this one.

drank Batch #0832 BD:10.29.15 last night. i refrigerated this bottle on the monday after black friday. it was drinkable but starting to show early signs of infection. crackly head that faded quickly, sour twinge on the backend that finished desert dry. The gentleman who procured my bottle cracked some of his last night that had not been refrigerated until this week. He opened two bottles and said they were undrinkable.

I have two bottles of BW, one I threw in the fridge the day I bought it (11/30), and one is still un-refrigerated. Maybe I'll do a little experiment this weekend for science and report back.
