    Hi folks,

Is my brew infected? I've looked online but can't see any pics that match. What's that stuff on top? Just krausen falling back?

I've got a couple of all grain Pale Ales, IPA's, Stouts and Wheat Beers under my belt that have all gone smoothly and without infection so I think my sanitation process is good. This is the first time I've brewed a lager though, also the first time using dry yeast instead of liquid (saflager W34/70) and only the second time fermenting in a Corny Keg so I'm not really sure what it's supposed to look like. I only opened the keg to see what was going on in there as there has been zero activity in the blow off in over 80 hours since pitching.

    Cheers.

This is not a pellicle, so you're probably OK. Looks like you have a ring around your keg from the krausen, so, yeah, it's probably just krausen remnants. Chances are that you just didn't have a good seal on your blow off.

Great stuff, thanks that's what I was hoping to hear. You're probably right about the blow off. I might not have got the post back on tight enough after trimming the diptube so the air is escaping there rather than the blow off. Cheers
