    Hey guys,

I'm in the Boston area for about a month starting today. I was wondering if there are any local seasonal bottles on the shelves that I should snag. What are your favorites in terms of what's available? I like pretty much anything, but sours, farmhouses, and all things funky are my favorite. Thanks for the help!

I can recommend a trip to Jack's Abby over in Framingham MA. They have 4 variants of their barrel aged Framinghammer available right now. Coffee, Vanilla, PB&J, and Cocoa-Nut. Good stuff. They also have a barrel aged Cherry Berliner Braun that you may like.

Lots of great breweries to check out, have fun.

If you're in Boston proper, trips to Night Shift and Trillium will be worth your while. Trillium is currently bottling a few of their offerings - as of this weekend, they had Sunshower saison in bottles (and if you wanted a growler, they may still have Melcher St IPA). If you're a fan of sours, Night Shift currently has bottles of Ever Weisse for sale - a damn good sour.

We, Night Shift, generally have a few sours on tap and or in bottles. Ever Weisse is currently on the shelf and our barrel aged wild collab with NoDa Brewing is on tap. Next week we are aiming to release a barrel aged Saison w/ Brett as well as a barrel aged sour. And in a few weeks we have Somer Weisse coming out. Swing by our taproom if you get a chance.

    Cheers,
    Rob

I haven't had it, but Clown Shoes Millonario is a Mass only beer which seems to be generating some demand.

Cambridge Brewing Company had a couple sours on draft when I was there saturday. They kill it when it comes to sours and saisons. Cisco Woods series are excellent sours. Mystic makes good saisons. Notch just put out a Berliner, as did Jacks Abby. And Notch Saison is a good, inexpensive option.

Definitely get to Cambridge Brewing for a meal, the food is awesome and the beer is too. They make amazing sours and barrel aged beers, check what's on tap online. Trillium makes some really good hoppy beers and saisons, but is kind of a pain to go there sometimes. It's worth checking out. Definitely get to Nightshift for some funky, sour beers! Mystic Brewing makes a lot of saisons so you should go there. Jacks Abby is definitely worth checking out, but you can also find a lot of their stuff in stores and on tap.

Getting harder to find, but I picked up a second bottle yesterday. Clown Shoes Billionaire might be on some shelves as well. Agree with any and all BA Framinghammers from Jack's Abby, and honestly, try the Hoponious Union and Mass Rising as well. Superb beers.
