I apologize if this has been covers, but i couldn't find anything recent. I'm heading to Inner Harbor in Baltimore today and wondering if there are any family friendly places to get lunch and a good beer. I was thinking if Maxs, but that might a little too far of the Inner Harbor path. Are there any options in the heartof theHarbor?

    Cheers!

Pratt St fits what you are looking for. The only thing is it is closer to Camden yards than the heart of the Harbor. So if you park on the aquarium side it will be a long walk. If you park closer to the stadiums and convention center area you are good to go. I think everything that is right in the harbor area is all chain restaurants.

Pratt St Alehouse for sure. It's a short stroll from the harbor. Super kid friendly and great food/beers to boot.

Great food? You really think so?

Nothing wrong with the food at Pratt Street, but it's pretty much your standard pub grub (burgers, wraps, nacho's, etc). I'd call it adequate, but it's hardly anything to write home about (IMHO). However, I agree that it's very family friendly, and it's certainly the closest, good option in the Inner Harbor area.

Other places that aren't too far from the Inner Harbor include Alewife and Brewer's Art. Both places have decidedly superior food to Pratt St., but neither is what I would call particularly family friendly either (at least not in comparison to Pratt St.). As for Max's, if you really want to go, consider taking the water taxi over there. It's relatively inexpensive, fun, and you'll even get a 2 for 1 coupon you can use over there. On the other hand, Max's isn't particularly family friendly either. In fact, they card people at the door their now, so I'm fairly certain that they don't allow minors in (if I recall correctly, it used to be that it was only after 5:00 that minors weren't allowed in, but now I think they're restricted at all times).

Anyway, enjoy your visit to the inner harbor. Don't mean to knock Pratt St., as I do like the place, but their food is pretty "mehhhh" in my opinion. Have fun.

Ended up going to Maxs only to find out too late.....no kids, lol. Long story short, Greene Turtle and some DFH 60 min (at least it was fresh). Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll plan better next time!
