For real - you're so hardcore that pepper counts as a vegetable? ;-)

To geek out for a second, carnivores exist on a scale with "hypercarnivores" having a diet consisting of 70%+ of meat (fungi, fruits, etc comprising the rest). True carnivores are unable to synthesize certain certain essential nutrients and need to get them from meat. hen there are facultative carnivores that can eat largely non-meat diets but for whom it's non-optimal. Anyway ...

My guess is that most true carnivores prefer their meat with lots of saliva and a little bit of dirt & grass. No reports on whether they avoid hoppy beers due to their reliance upon plant material as an additive.

I'll throw this link for "Vegan Bacon Grease" into the mix. Only a Canadian could think of something this ingenious...

Planning to visit the new Surly taproom during business trip later this week. Can I buy beers (in cans) to go, or is it just consume on property? Really interested in checking out Abrasive and bringing a few back home. If not available at brewery, any tips on where I can still find in the MSP area?

Property only. Despite the perception that Minnesota is a liberal progressive state, when it comes to beer laws we ain't leading the pack.

If you hit up just about any liquor store in the metro (may want to avoid the small, shady looking ones) you should be able to find plenty of Abrasive. As to whether they're fully carbonated or not, there's a whole 22+ page thread out there for you to sort through. :grinning:
