    just to echo:

no to Tylenol. You'll kill your liver

yes to water. headaches associated with a hangover are due to dehydration.

that said, a hangover can be way more than just a headache so here's all the rest:

in the second half of the article, there's a section on all the mythical preventers and treatments for a hangover

I Just drink a lot of water. A lot of alcohol is tough on the kidneys, liver. And so are pain relievers. So to me, doubling them up doesnt seem like a good idea.
I may seem a little paranoid but my grandfather recently showed me all the bullshit he has to go through every night with his dialysis machine. Upon finishing our conversation he said, "take care of your kidneys". I'll never forget that.

Germans say, do not mix your beer brands/styles during a night's session and drink 1 liter of mineral water before going to bed. Perhaps the "science" behind the not mixing is to stick to one set of higher alcohols...the H2O speaks for itself...with the minerals as an added bonus. Oh yea, they also say that the B-complex vitamins in Kellerbier/Hefeweizen help replenish depleted stores as well.

All I do is deal with it, slowly drink lukewarm water, and munch on crackers or dry cooked pasta the next morning.

All of my college education just basically told me that the only way to deal with a hangover is to prevent it. once alcohol hits your blood, your screwed unless you get an IV (which wont even work). Just stay up the night before until youre sober-ish. drinking water the whole time.
