So I cut the whole out using a step bit. The first kettle I installed one on went smooth. It was a cheap kettle. This kettle took a little more work as the steel is thicker. The hole was a little rough because the drill battery died. I smoothed out the rough edges the best I could. I installed the the rubber o rings and valve. I have absolutely no leaks but will everything still be OK? Is my only concern the leaks? No sharp edges at all and it all seems to be sealed up nicely. The bazooka tube inside sits a little crooked but all is functional. Should I be convened about anything or just brew? RHAHB....

It sounds like everything is fine. Did you fill the entire kettle with water for the leak test? Sometimes they can leak when full and not leak when partially filled.
