    Anyone hear anything about this from 3 Fonteinen. I caught wind of it called Intense Red brewed with 40% cherries, said it was a taste bomb.

    Did some more digging and found this article;
    http://www.straffestreek.be/si.php?id=767
    Had to do some translating, but apparently it's coming to the US. Sweet! Also said it drink more like a wine them a beer, I think as I'm using some random translator.

    From Goodgle translate:

    'With a concentration of 40% crack this beer indeed an intense, warm deep flavor that is more reminiscent of wine than lambic beer.'

    Crack lambic? That is intense.

    Amazing news! I'll be surprised if it doesn't carry Golden Blend-esque pricing, but since that'll mean it won't be a mad dash to find I'll just look on the bright side. Any new 3F is a new top want for me!

    Shelton posted this on their facebook a little over a week ago so I'm guessing this must be what the mystery bottle is. Sounds awesome, glad it's coming to the US.

    Does any one have clue about the new world premiere Cantillon that Shelton Brothers promise at Portland Maine beer festival June 21st?

    "We waited until April 2nd just so there's no confusion. We ain't foolin'. There will be a WORLD PREMIERE of a NEW CANTILLON BEER at THE FESTIVAL! For the moment, that's all the details you get."

    Damn, never thought I would see the day that lambic would become a gateway drug.

    I had a chance to chat with Jean Van Roy recently and though I didn't ask him if he's bringing anything special for the event... he did say he's going to be there!

    I am not going to translate the entire article but this is not a new beer according to the article. Rather the old kriek with a new label & it is about the collaboration with the guy who designed the label. Although it offers statements that could be interpreted as this being a new beer... don't know what is the cherry % in a regular oude kriek?

    3F kriek 30% kriek
    3F schaerbeekse kriek 35% kriek
    3F intense red 40 % kriek

    Thx because the article made it sound like this was simply an Oude Kriek with a new label so I was a bit confused.

    The first phrase 'Oude Kriek met een nieuw etiket! ' literally means Old Kriek with a new label.
