Just curious the value/interest in Brooklyn Black Ops and DFH Raison D'extra. I have found a good amount on vacation that I could pick up to offer FT. I am ISO harder to find big dark beers like darkness, sexual chocolate, parabola, etc.

Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I guess the interest is low judging by the response to this post...

I was wondering the same thing cause I found some Black Ops at a store around me and was thinking it may be good trading material... Whats the price around you? The store here is asking $29.99!!!

Black Ops around here was 25$ a bottle, and its way over priced for the beer it is in my opinion

    Pretty low.

Black Ops isn't hard to obtain if you really want it. Most people would say it's not worth the $30ish it costs, and it's been around for a while so many people have already tried it. I've passed it up on the shelves many times.

Raison D'Extra is still floating around on shelves with 5 and 7 year old batches, so that should tell you everything you need to know about its popularity.

You might be able to pull Parabola with a Black Ops, especially if you'd do it straight up and take the $ hit. No Sexy Choc, very doubtful on Darkness.

I agree that Black ops is way overpriced/overrated. It was just an average beer for me, and I'd still probably pass it up if they cut the price in half.

I'd be interested in d'extra. To my recollection, I enjoyed it much more than 120. Don't have what your lookin for though. I don't put much effort into those brewery only releases.

Echoing the other posters. Both beers are pretty easy to come by, just sitting on shelves in NY and NJ. I'd buy the Black Ops just to try it for 15 bucks or so but not at 25 or 30 after the reviews I've read. And I have a few Raisins sitting in the cellar, I don't think anyone is clamoring for them.

There is little interest in either beer, at least in terms of getting anything limited in return. You might be able to get a Parabola for one of them, but they have pretty much no chance of landing anything like Darkness, SC, DL, etc.

Black Ops is limited, but it uses champagne yeast and is hated for it. Raison d Extra is no longer made, but every now and then I spot a cache of bottles collecting dust at a store.
