    They already have those, they're called Summit. There should be an emoticon for "yuck" reserved just for beers that feature them.

    Good article. Maybe some other regions will get on board. IIRC, the area around Cooperstown, NY was one of the largest hop growing regions in the world until a blight ruined the plants.

    Good article overall, but what makes Washington's flavor hops "cut-rate"? To me that phrase connotes inferior, and them's fightin' words.

    The article read like a paid promotional piece. I can understand wanting to promote local products, but whenever someone feels a need to slander someone else's product in order to promote their own it makes me skeptical.

    Its an Oregon (Willamette) supporting paper, you would prob hear similar articles about California Wine advancements slandering France / Other regions to a degree. Regardless of the point of view, i enjoyed hearing some sort of sucess story with new hop planters after the void left by Anheuser-Busch.
