Interesting Things You've Seen at Breweries

Since I couldn't find a pic of the vanity license plates to include in my post #49 I made a mental note to take a pic the next time I visited Bell's. Well I finally got to go back there and took a pic of two groupings and combined into one.



Also took a pic of the stained-glass windows that I mentioned above. The large one on the right has two beer bottles that are floating in the stream, and those bottles are actually protruding from the glass (from the shoulder of the bottle to the top) for a 3-D effect. I think the fly line of the guy in water in the background is also 3-D. The Eccentric Café lives up to its name.

 

Not a stadium, but I have been to a junior high school in Columbus, Ohio, where some kid is rumored to have done this on the first day the new school was open. Fortunately, there were no witnesses and these rumors cannot be corroborated.

 

I remember being on knee highs aka football for 4 and 6 years old and remember the locker room bathrooms having these hahahah...

They have one of these at the German American Cultural Club in Pawtucket, RI. It’s been cleaned and maintained, though.

 

Da Boss and i were at 12 Bones Brewing in Asheville 3 weeks ago for the first time and we thoroughly enjoyed the puns that would change periodically. Below is just a sample.

When in CA for San Diego Beer Week in 2011 we saw Tomme Arthur enjoying a meal and beers at Stone Brewing Company. Does that count? (True story.) Later that day we went to The Lost Abbey to enjoy some beers and Tomme was there and we had a great conversation with him. But I digress. What we liked about the Lost Abbey is that it was cool to sit in the brewhouse with the brewhouse cat hanging out sleeping on the bar right next to us. At the time, the bar stools were barrels with a bag of grain to sit on as the cushion. It was unique and dug the vibe.

 

I remember at Burial Beer in Asheville, NC was a huge painted mural of young Tom Selleck and Sloth from the Goonies posing side by side with one arm around each other smiling. Like they were close friends posing for a picture. It was so cool.

 

They aren't confused; they're impatient.
