Iowa Rumors?

There aren't any TG bottles anywhere as far as I know.

 

The Dorothy's Lager is at Hy-Vee here in Mason City. I've purchase Pseudosue 3 times in Des Moines, but it runs out in about 45 minutes usually.

Correct. It would surprise me for sure if there are any bottles left anywhere.

 

Ah, I misunderstood. On the bright side I've found some TG on tap that is unavailable in DSM. Tsunami is very good.

 

"The Quarry" in Mason City has 4 handles of TG. Well at least the last time is was there.

 

I will definitely make my way over there. I went into Wiseguys sports bar as well, but was unable to partake in their Thursday special last week. $10 for all you can drink with G-Nug on tap... wow.

 

Tsunami is at El Bait in DSM from time to time.

 

Stone w00t stout has his Des Moines. Super limited supplies. Most places are limit 1 bottle per person. $6.49/each.

 

Stone's Enjoy By 9/13/13 coming to IA. When do these typically release relative to the enjoy by date?

I've half-heartedly boycotted Stone since they turned down distribution in Sioux City but might have to make a trip to C Bluffs for this one.

 

Red's in N.L. has gotten it as fast as the trucks can bring it from CA. So less the a week from bottling.

I grabbed the last bottle from Ryan last night.

 

Nice! Picking up a bottle tonight. Hear there could possibly be another small batch coming by the end of the week to a few stores, but I'm not holding my breath. Glad I'll get at least one.

 

Well...I missed out. I should have some Surly Furious heading this way within the next week if anyone would like to do an IP in Des Moines.

 

Went tonight.. more than 4 TG's: Dorothy's, Tsunami, Murph's Red, Rush Pils, Brown Sugar, Thresher IPA, Gold Nug IPA.... and a custom made TG menu describing 8 of the beers... awesome.

 

Deschutes now available in the Iowa City area

 

Deschutes is coming in with all guns firing. Release parties everywhere. Props to them for such intense interest. They seem to be doing it right. Hope they studied the market. Be sad to see them end up like Green Flash. Eleven dollar four packs of hoppy beers that are on the shelves 8 to 14 months old. That shit don't fly in Iowa.

 

This is killing me. I'm gonna be passing through there in a couple weeks from now on a Sunday and, according to their website, they are not open on Sundays.

 

Does anyone know if the IA City Market got any Stone Woot Stout??
