is it cool to give extras in on IP trades? I've only done one IP trade and I did throw extras in. Does it go the same a shipping trade?
Yes, extras in an in person trade are cool. But if you both live in same area try to make it something that they cant easily get, tough when you have the same distro.
It's cool of course but I'd find a tactful way of mentioning you might be bringing an extra. I've caught a few people off guard before by bringing an extra when they didn't and although I couldn't have cared less I could tell they felt bad about it. Now I just specify no extras for IP and everyone seems to jump on that as a good idea.
Every time I mention "no extras, please", the response is always of a relief. It's difficult to extra when you're in the same area. I used to have them, now I trade enough for me to drink and anything extra I usually gave away already because they are almost always IPAs.
I wouldn't give anyone from a local distro beer that is from our distro, extras are extras. Decent beer from other areas.
