IPA Day (Aug 7, 2014)

I had an Alaskan Hopothermia DIPA and am following it up with Lakefront IPA

 

RuinTen, last of the pack from a case of bombers 6/26/14.....6 weeks in and still an awesome brew....shouldn't we make this semi-annual an annual event , at least (both the beer and Appreciation Day)....enjoy

 

Castaway IPA from Kona Brewing - wasn't expecting much but pleasantly surprised

 

Or maybe vice versa.....10.8 % ABV ......will do it every time

 

Anchor Brewing IPA work tomorrow so I didn't want go too heavy on the ABV.

 

Currently working through a quart bottle of Sucks with my dad. Definitely a good IPA day!

 

I'm going with some Surly Furious tonight, perfect for the occasion.

 

Well... didn't know it was IPA Day today, but luckily have some Hop Devil in the fridge, along with some freshly bottle conditioned Citra/Mosaic/Nugget homebrew (that I tried last night, and it was fantastic)... gotta keep that fridge stocked just in case!

 

Just picked up a 4pk of Second Fiddle and a 4pk of Hardcore Chimera... This will be difficult...

 

In celebration of today, I just opened a can of Heady Topper that is several weeks old (gasp right??? who drinks it past 48 hours?) and have the following things to say despite its age:

1. It is extremely delicious

2. I haven't gone blind

3. My balls have not shriveled in to raisins

4. The sun will still rise tomorrow

5. Did I mention it is extremely delicious?

OK I got a local BEER Calendar and Friday Aug 01/14 was International IPA day ,

so what's IPA day , (US , International , other) !!! ?? ,

anyways trying too enjoy a couple of St.Ambroise-Double IPA ... like it's rating poor beer ,

gotta go back to Russell 'Hop Therapy ISA' my go to beer this summer ... prost

 

Wait, I thought it was National Hot Pocket Day! WFT?

 

I don't keep regular IPAs in the house too often since I dig em fresh but this cellarturd will work.

 

wish I had some sucks today!! I miss that stuff.

I had to grab a Heady for IPA day today. Didn't have any better option on hand. bummer. haha

A bunch of Founders Centennial cans dated 7/20. 35$ a case to boot, twas 45$ a case of bottles for the longest time.

 

PEOPLE DRINKING RYE IPA'S ARE RUINING THIS BLESSED DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Troegs Perpetual at the brewery, where a room wide toast was offered by the brewers.

 

Not my day, that's for sure.
