IPA Day is upon us once again! Yes, I know it’s a made-up holiday (as they are all), and a marketing tool to boot. But I am still going to celebrate with whatever West Coasties I can get my hands on. How are all of you celebrating?
Until I read this thread I had no idea there was an IPA day. When it comes to craft beer, isn't every day nowadays IPA day!?! But in the spirit of the 'official' IPA day, tomorrow I will drink my homebrewed version of Pliny the Elder! Cheers!
Same here -- a local had a great sale on Goose Island IPA (still a favorite) last week and I grabbed a 15-pack.
I’d jokingly (for a change) claim that this should be a bank holiday, at least here, like 1st of may, Bastille day or November 11th. IPA day, gimme a day off enjoying a fine one or three. More seriously I’ll be back tomorrow if I find some “special one”. Cheers.
In my quest to cut back ln my alcohol consumption I try to drink only NA beer every other day. Tomorrow is a day that calls for an NA beer, but fortunately I have some Deschutes NA Fresh Squeezed IPA on hand, so that's what I'll have.
If I was in Columbus, I'd go to Barley's and have their AMP IPA on cask. With a bowl of their Pale Ale clili and a side order of sauerkraut balls. *sigh*
I knew about the Black Butte NA but was also unaware of the Fresh Squeezed version. It was in one of these BA threads that someone mentioned the Fresh Squeezed, maybe a couple months ago. I'd been watching with anticipation for the Black Butte at my store for the past year, but it never came so I figured Michigan was not on the distro list. But I never quit looking, and about 3 weeks ago a couple 6-packs of each showed up. So I bought one of each. The Fresh Squeezed is out there - just be patient or check multiple stores.
