IPA do bring home from San Diego

I am from VA and visiting SD now, went to O'Briens for the Alpine event tonight, great stuff, but from I am told unless you go to LA or the brewery you cant get bottles, is that true? We get a lot of stuff in VA, I'd stick to bringing home Pliny, racer x, (we get racer 5), Kern. Some Port IPAs. But we get great distribution so just stick with a few we don't get.
