So the more I read keep reading different opinions mostly on other sites, my question being, is it bad to have IPAs stored in the fridge laying down? Not for a long time maybe keep the longest one for a month. I'm really curious because two of these are enjoy by and I don't wanna mess them up. I've had no problem with any SN variants going bad, but I have had Stone ipa and two hearted get yeast sediment all mixed in. I'm guessing this is between the 2nd and 3rd Month of shelf life? Thanks Kevin.

Honestly, some people on here are a bit too intense, whether they think IPAs can only taste good for 2 weeks, or they need to be stored a different way.

You're fine! And more importantly, enjoy your beers!

Drink yeast sediment. Good stuff and part of the flavor.

You are the voice of reason lol! It kills me when people say an IPA is undrinkable after 2 weeks. That is just nuts.

Anything in the bottle should be expected to be part of the flavor profile in my mind. If you're nervous, pour carefully and you'll get to try it both ways. Yeast is like potato skins: don't throw away free nutrients .

I've honestly seen some IPAs that seem to have more of a "hop oil" sediment. It's not malt sediment in the traditional sense. But it's a visible layer that slowly creeps into a normally poured beer. I actually recommended many swirling their IPAs before trying ( Project Dank as an example.)

Should be fine; obviously the fresher the better.

I only worry about storing bottle conditioned beers upright. Otherwise you end up with all sorts of nasty shit floating around in you beer. IPA's should be fine on their side.

Thanks alot guys. U guys never notice how Stone ipa starts tasting much more malty towards the end though? Like a Miller high life flavored back end? I just noticed the ones I have in the fridge have some sediment and kinda changed into this flavor profile again. Meh. Time for a lot of Torpedo again. That shits always fresh . got a single from Publix the other day dated 9/22! Still fresh. Lol

I store mine upside down...in the pool...
