The hoppiest stout I ever had was Nightstalker by Goose Island.

Mikkeller coffee IPA - Koppi was amazing, worth a second buy, and will taste exactly what you are looking for.

Excellent suggestion, one of the first stouts to feature strongly the PNW hop taste (which is at the core of American-style IPA).

Hoppin Frog Stouts are pretty hoppy

    BORIS - 60 IBU's
    DORIS - 70 IBU's

And pretty freakin delicious and local to you in Ohio

Do yourself a favor and get some of this dark goodness!

For easy to find, cheap, and incredibly tasty, go grab a sixer of Sierra Nevada Stout. Many overlook it as you can always find it around, but it's a good hop-forward stout that should make you happy.

That's my favorite in the style you're asking about, but unfortunately it's a seasonal and hard to get at that. Big and malty, lots of roast coming through but also aggressively hopped. It's like a flavor train crashing straight into your mouth-hole.

The epitome of a hoppy stout is Victory Storm King.

Founders Porter at 45 IBUs has a noticeable hop presence to it.

    Cheers!

Fresh Great Divide Yeti is also quite hoppy. I'll 2nd North Coast Old Rasputin and Victory Storm King as well.

Founders Imperial Stout has a decent hop presence, and is all around one of the best stouts on the market.

False. Black IPAs are brewed with roasted malts (like a stout) so you'll get that malty/coffee flavor. Can't help you with the creamy mouthfeel. I recommend experimenting with blending. Pick a good mellow IPA and a basic creamy stout and mix away!

Do you have access to Lakefront from Milwaukee? Their IBA is a much more roasty version of a black IPA, whereas New Glarus' Black Top is IMO a more fruit black IPA.

Of the major Russian Imperial Stouts, I find Founders Imperial Stout to be the hoppiest when fresh, followed by Great Divide Yeti. A few others may have a slight hop profile, such as Old Rasputin, but these two are the hoppiest by far.

Thirding the suggestion for Yin and Yang. I should add that it is what has come to be called a "heaven and hell," or combination of IPA and imperial stout. Evil Twin brewed two separate beers (Yin and Yang) for the explicit purposes of creating Yin and Yang. But there's no reason you can't do this yourself. I've read about people doing this with DFH 120 Minute and World Wide Stout.

Frankly, I don't find it appealing. But others might.

Another vote for Fat head's shakedown. Stuff is delicious if you like hoppy stouts/black ipas. Oh and pick up some Brew kettle black rajah if you haven't already. Best black ipa i've had.

Kinda thought the same of Wookey Jack, but less chocolate. Had everything else though. Hoppy, roasty, floral and all three seem to pop.
