    Give it another try.
Your tastes seem to have evolved and you may like it now. It is one of the better AIPAs and made in your locality.

Nice list, but he's gonna have a tough time finding any of those in the WI north woods:wink:

    I also will add-
    Other Half Forever Ever
    Hill Farmstead Susan
    Boneyard Hop Venom
    Parish Envie
    Bissell The Subsatnce
to that list of IPA's OP won't be able to get in Wisconsin.

    But
    Dogfish Head 90 Minjute
    Sierra Nevada Torpedo
Dales Pale Ale (it is an IPA by brewer's admission)
    Stone IPA
    Alesmith IPA
    Lagunitas IPA
are all tasty and widely distro.

I think that some of my suggestions you wouldn't be able to get in WI so since you enjoyed Maximus try Lagunitas IPA and Little Sumpin' Sumpin'.

IPAs can be hit or miss with me but it's a fun style because each one can taste so drastically different from the next. Be sure to check out DIPAs too, I find many of them to be sweeter because of the bigger malt usage and thus less bitter.

Fat heads head hunter is the best year round ipa that I have regular access to. If it's available in Wisconsin I highly suggest checking it out.

It's a DIPA but I would recommend getting a can of Stone Enjoy By 07.04.17 Unfiltered.

Another thing to look for are bottle dates. I have a hard time finding Lagunitas and Sierra Nevada fresh. No need to go crazy, but if an IPA is more than 3 months old I stay away.

If you haven't tried yet, New Glarus Moon Man is a solid pale ale you should be able to find readily and fresh.

I wasn't thinking, nor do I know about availability. OP could be a globetrotting salesperson.. so I threw them out there.

BTW, I can't get Cigar City or Fat Head's (or Deschutes.. etc) unless I drive 45-50 minutes to Pennsylvania. You gotta want it to enjoy it :grinning:

Try everything that you can find in your area. Over time, you will find the ones you really enjoy. With a little research you will find flavor profiles on websites (such as this one) that can help guide your purchases. I'm sure there are some great options locally. If you are looking for beer outside of your footprint, the trade market is vast.

That sucks but your prices seem to generally be way better than ours so...guess neither one of us has it too good. :stuck_out_tongue:

I believe we both have a little to celebrate, with PA dropping some of their restrictions. I can now go to a state run liquor store, without having to buy a case of any beer. Last week, I visited a store I hadn't gone back to for over a year, because who wants to buy a case of beer, just to try 1?

The store I visited (in Kennett Square) sells everything in singles now, and they are setting up a tap area for crowler/growler purchases. I was very happy with my purchase:

I will NOT however, look at my receipt.. I don't want to know how much they taxed me. If I find out that part of it, I might think twice before making the drive.

Dude- just find all the bombers of DDH Psuedo and King Sue you can get your hands on and enjoy. You can try many others, but I envy your access to TG stuff and I live in Massachusetts and go to Trillium and Tree House regularly.
