The new Bengali is really, really good as is Puff. I know Puff is basically unfiltered Resin, but damn it's so much better than Resin and not near the alcohol bite. Great beer, it should replace Resin in their everyday lineup.

I'm definitely not a fan of IPAs with fruit additions, like Grapefruit Sculpin or Latitude 33s Blood Orange IPA, but maybe start with some of those if you don't mind the fruit flavors. I started out with beers like that. Just a thought if you're having a hard time finding something you like.

Thanks for all the suggestions everybody. I went to the local bottle shop yesterday and got some single bottles. Got a bomber of TG hopsmack. Really enjoyed it. Nice hit of hops followed by some fruit undertones. Very smooth. Also picked up singles of Surly furious, stone ipa, and short's huma lupa licious. I also got some other styles to avoid hop burnout as one of the posters suggested.

Moon Man and Scream from New Glarus are a must for you. Elsyan Space Dust also another Wisconsin beer in which you can all get fresh, and good starter IPA/APA beers. Lagunitas the 12th of Never is also a solid Beginer IPA/APA. Lagunitas Born Again yesterday is one you should be able to find there. I could go on and on, but thinking about easier beers you can find in your neck of the woods.

Daisy Cutter is a good everyday beer and relatively new to Wisconsin.

Hopefully brickstone makes it up to Wisconsin at some point, you'll want to try pretty much anything you see from them

I'll echo what others are saying too though. Alesmith IPA, Lagunitas Hop Stoopid, Stone Delicious

Is Firestone Walker, if so, drinking anything they make that you find that's not out of code

Yes, I will second Fresh Squeezed - which is my favourite American IPA.

I will also add to this: Victory DirtWolf, which I know is actually a Double IPA, but it drinks like an easy/tasty/juicy IPA (you just get drunk quicker, amirite?).

@kinggimp great suggestions here, what I would suggest is you go back thru the ones you have already had, you have had some classics and already rated them. Try a few of them and see if you still feel the same way. One of the reasons I try to jot some words down with a review is if I have a beer a second time, I would like to know why I liked it better or worse. In your case it seems your palate has changed and you are now more accepting of what an IPA brings to the table.

You're going to get an arms length of opinions and a metric shit ton of beer that is not distributed your way recommended to you.
FInd what's distributed in your state and start there. It has the least distance to travel.
