Stone IPA and Two Hearted Ale are the two that got me hooked, I'll occasionally buy a little of each, but prefer two hearted because the bottles are more homebrew friendly

I think Two Hearted has to be the one that did it for me. I'd had a few random IPA's over the years before I really got into craft beer last fall, and didn't really think they were that great, but bought a 6er of this and haven't looked back.

The first IPA that made me think, "Ooh, now this I like," was SN Torpedo. My wife picked it up for me while she was out shopping and I've been a IPA hop-head ever since.

cant say one put me over the hump from disliking to liking the style. i always enjoyed them, but didnt appreciate em until i had Great Divide Titan IPA. it was really fresh and the smell is what got me. thats another experience i wish i could have back. everytime i grab it and try desperately for that moment...falls short. so many good ipas (and bad) out there these days.

They happened on the same day, but had Blind Pig and then Fresh Squeezed in Portland, Or last summer. It was a good day.

My experience was more like a short detour rather than a hump. I didn't know I loved hops until I stopped trying to choke down drink Harpoon IPA and tried something else.

Thomas Hooker Brewery: Hop Meadow IPA.
It was nice and hoppy and it took me a couple of beers before I got into it but that was it. Now I'm really enjoying the Victory Dirtwolf.

Two Hearted. Hated it and all IPAs I tried in the beginning. I kept reading not to give up on the style - that it would hit you later on. I bought one Two Hearted to see where I stood a year later. I haven't been off the IPA train since.

Funny enough it wasnt even an IPA. My borther lefta sixar in the fridge at my parents house of prohibition ale, and for me at the time it was way hoppy considering the pilsners i was used to, and imediately fell in love with the flavor. it was always way to expensive for me to get after that and it was really Lagunitas IPA thqat solidified my taste for hopiness. nail in the coffen was Pliny and Blind pig

Southern Tier IPA was the gateway, but Two Hearted pushed me over the top.

I was neither here nor there on IPA's until i had DFH Burtons Baton. It was that beer that set me down the path for IPA love and appreciation. I haven't looked back since.

Didn't like IPAs, DFH 90 changed things fast.

The same for me. BTW my first 90 minute was in a big bottle pre 4 packs and it was the best 90 minute I've ever had. The nearest thing I've had from DFH since then was Squall IPA.
