Perhaps, someone spilled a bottle of India Pale Ale from Allsopp's (or Worthington, Ballantine, Labatt or Frank Jones or scores of other brewers) on that history book and pages 1 - 499 are stuck together?

I believe the first IPA I had was CacaZilla. Since then wanted more and more hops. Start off with Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Great step towards IPA's

Pop Up by Boulevard...4.2 a very smooth and easy drinking brew...find it on tap if you can!

By the way I use to be the same way...about 2 months ago I tried a rye IPA and it just clicked...I've been on a hop hunt ever since.

Try Sixpoint Hi-Res. It is very sweet and not bitter at all.

That statement is just silly, sounds like you have been drinking too many DIPAs. Two Hearted is far from a pale ale, in fact it might be the quintessential IPA or at least one of them. Perfectly balanced, both hoppy and malty at the same time, but squarely an IPA.

The answer to this question has been stated already. All Day IPA from Founders. IPA on training wheels.

Have someone give you and IPA without telling you it's an IPA or by telling you it's a pale ale. That way, you won't be influenced by the moniker but only by the taste.

First of all that's awesome that you were able to try those awesome beers! Came out of the gates strong! I agree with another post made, just because you don't like IPA's doesn't mean you aren't a craft beer drinker. I myself am trying to get on a sour kick. But with that said sessionable IPA's are good starts. I would say Goose Island IPA, one of my go to favorites or maybe Full Sail IPA. Its nice and sessionable with good floral hops. Good luck! If you don't find any you like then who cares drink what you love!

    Cheers!

You need to experience a Lupulin Threshold Shift.

Previously mentioned Two Hearted, and I'll stick with Centennial based hops here, but seriously if it doesn't work it doesn't work, any IPA is going to be more bitter than you probably like. I hate Sours and Funks, there is no training wheels for Sours and Saisons. I wouldn't pay for anything Cantillion except to trade it, so I'd say the same thing about other styles just because most like IPA's doesn't mean you have to as well.

I understand your question, but I tried and hated IPA's for about 5 years before I started liking them. People that like IPA's are so fanatical about them I thought "this is not just another style". I just kept trying different IPA's and kept drinking Pale Ales to get used to the hops. Now IPA's are my favorite style and I love them.

To the OP, I agree with @infuturity83 suggestion above for Founders All Day IPA. I would also suggest Victory Hop Ranch even though it's a DIPA it's not very bitter (for me anyway). Good luck I'm backing what you are doing.
