I have to give a nod to Shiner for their Brewers Pride Fresh Hop IPA, it’s an NE style and for a macro brewer it’s outstanding.
Here are my picks, not necessarily in order.
    Southern Star- Conspiracy Theory
    St Arnold- Art Car
    Community- Mosaic
    Lone Pint- Yellow Rose

Heading to Plano in two weeks and was hoping to get some celestial but I saw they are closed on Monday's. Do their cans see distro or brewery only?

Their cans are brewery only, but well worth the trip or the trade...Cheers!

I agree. First of all, shiner's IPA are typically quite lackluster....to put a positive spin on it. The Amarillo Brewers Pride Fresh Hop was delicious.

Thank you for the information, any bars around that might have them on tap in the Plano/Frisco area?

Doubt it. I would call and ask them. Just Google their number.

I just had them back to back on tap recently and I like Yellow Rose better... but Ghost in the Machine is certainly good.

Spindletap has learned well and is riding the Haze train to lots of sales.

It isn't a style I love so I don't purchase much, but I'm glad they have found a niche that works for them.

As for excellent IPAs, Yellow Rose is tops for me.... but I'm also a big fan of fresh Saint Arnold Art Car and their dIPA Endeavour. Not a fan of Elissa though.

DDH Juice Pack from Tupps Brewery out of McKinney, TX is a tasty IPA. Found it at Whole Foods in Austin during a recent trip to ATX.

No idea on IPAs. I tell this to everyone staying on the Dallas side of DFW. If you're looking for Imp. Stouts head over to Garland (10-15 minutes tops from Plano) and go to Lakewood Brewing (they don't have a taplist on their website, but they update it on Untappd pretty often). The Temptress is technically a Imp. Milk Stout and at 9%ABV it's by far my favorite of the style (Xocoveza is 2nd). Be on the look out for the variants at the brewery [i.e. French Quarter (Chicory coffee), Mole, Coconut, Sin Mint, Tennessee (Whiskey BA), Raspberry, Peanut Butter, BBT (Bourbon BA)].
