I want to broaden my horizons and evolve into IPA's that are brewed outside the United States. What are some great IPA's/DIPA's that can appeal to a hop head that loves American brews in this style and is relatively available at bottle shops and beverage centers?

Some good ones I've had recently include:
    • Earl Grey IPA - Emelisse (I absolutely love this one)
    • Extase - Dochter van de Korenaar
    • Imperial & Master IPAs - Viven
    • Paljas - Brouwerij Henricus
    • Lupulosa IPA & Nocturna Black IPA - Insurgente
    • Chivoperro & Brujeria #4 - Casa Bruja
    • Hardcore & Jackhammer IPAs - BrewDog
Some of these may not be available in the US, though.

Fyne Ales Jarl isn't really an IPA, but it could've fooled me! Citra Bomb!

I love Nogne-O, they make some great beers. As does Olfabrikken, although their darker beers are preferable to their pale ales.

One I had recently that was very pleasantly surprising was Virmalised, which is brewed by the Estonian microbrewery Pohjala. A friend brought back Virmalised as well as Uus Maalim (pale wheat ale) from a trip to Estonia. The IPA (Virmalised) was great.

I just had "Hardcore" Double Ipa from brewdog this weekend, and thought it was great! Lots of Caramel character, clean, and plenty of westcoast flare.

I also have really enjoyed Mikkeler IPA's, especially the single hip stuff. If you don't mind forking out a good amount of deneros- those are good options as well.

You will find any number of IPAs from the UK. Some of them won't be IPA as you understand it (it was being brewed before the "craft" era changed the style) but worth trying all the same.

Without repeating any mentioned above, each of these breweries makes more than one excellent hoppy beer:

    Canada: Phillips, Central City
UK: The Kernel, RedWillow, Buxton, Thornbridge, Beavertown
    Ireland: 8 Degrees
    Italy: del Borgo
    Denmark: To Ol
    New Zealand: Tuatara, Epic

Of these, The Kernel and Epic are world-class; I'd put theirs up against any IPAs from the US.

(Note: all of the UK breweries make "American-Style" IPAs, not the traditional English examples marquis mentions.)

It's a nice beer but once I had it head to head against Lincoln Green Archer.Although only 4,2% ABV the Archer came through IMO the better of the two.
My point was that an awful lot of UK beers labelled IPA are 20th century interpretations rather than 21st century ones so don't expect masses of hops in them.

I just had this one with dinner; it's pretty good. However, I bought it in Arizona, and other than trading, I doubt that it's available much farther away from the Southwest.
