This article is a list of IPAs that the author considers to be not very bitter.

Derp. I completely misread that. Only makes that list even more random and odd ...

Then, I'd be surprised by Vallejo as I found it to be a bit bitter - not saying thats bad, but I wouldn't put it on a list of not bitter IPAs...

For Congress Street, sure. I haven't had the others. From word of mouth on Epiphany and the Tired Hands stuff, it likely fits in this category of "not very bitter". I can think of several others I'd put in the category, and at present, they constitute my list of go-to IPAs, even if they aren't easy to get.

I don't see it as positive or negative, just different. I had CC Jai Alai on my cruise last week, very nice, balanced, more bitter than Congress or Treehouse stuff, but not very bitter compared to most IPAs. I bought some Terrapin Hopsecutioner to bring on board and could barely drink it. Super bitter. Yet my sister loves the stuff.

Yeah I've become addicted (not literally) to the tropical, hazy IPA's out here. But I still love a good bitter bomb.

The whole "bitterness" reference is a little confusing. I thought this article was listing the most bitter ipas. I think this is pretty much another one of those standout ipa lists.

Wow, I see it now in the text portion of the article, but that's a questionable choice of the word 'transcend' in the headline for the story.

It's even closer than that. They are basically neighboring storage units that share a tiny parking lot. Good call on the Swish. I was lucky enough back in November to hit BB for Swish, The Substance, and reciprocal on my first day of vacation in Maine. Double lucky to hit the Epiphany release the day after. All named brews were awesome!

Congress Street, Epiphany, Blind Pig, Permanent Funeral...check, in that order. Congress St has limited non-brewery release, Ephiphany is brewery only. Just not a fan of Tired Hands

I could go on. :X I've been to Treehouse once and still have a laundry list of stuff to try. Maybe once my knee heals up (if it does) and I get a decent weekend, I'll head out east some more.

You could just as well add any of the world class brews fro Alpine, Alesmith, or Lagunitas and you would be just as correct. I'm happy with my shelf IPAs, more for the rest of y'all.
