Just saw in their newsletter they're bottling a new west-coast style, dry-hopped IPA with mosaic, simcoe, and amarillo. Shows pictures of it in 12 oz bottles, 6-packs, cases. Love to see this as I think they make solid-to-great beer. Their brand just needed a kick of energy and I like seeing something new from them that's not a limited release bomber. Fingers crossed it's year-round (assuming it's good which I have a hunch it will be) as they show it sitting next to their 4 core beers.

It didn't say when it's hitting stores, but you can buy 6-packs of it at a release party Saturday June 14th at the new brewery, FYI.

They bring a tapmobile to the vintage base ball games that I play in...hoping this one makes it into the lineup for post-game refreshments.

Really looking forward to this. Ipswich Summer in 12-pack cans has been good too.

Although I respect Ipswich IPA for what it is (a solid, old school malty English-style IPA), it's good to see them get into the act with a more modern style IPA.

Just popped one bottled on 6/5. They did a really good job with this.

Found an 8-day old six pack. It’s a nice beer, but in a way I was just slightly let down. It might be that my expectations were too high (and I admittedly can nit pick for this style) but given the hops used and the dry-hopping, I’d at least expect more punch in the aroma. Tastes nice, yet more balanced to me than their intention that they state on the bottle neck. I’ll definitely enjoy the sixer I got and possibly purchase more later on, but I’d go so far to say their regular IPA is a better traditional east-coast style IPA than Rt. 101 is a west-coast style IPA….if that makes sense. I still recommend people pick it up once. It was only $9 and change for me.

Spotted at Palumbo's in Walpole today. Tucked back in a corner among 12 pack and case stacks.

For the money, this is the best IPA available on the shelves of Boston area liquor stores. I honesty love this beer and think its among the best of its style. And by style, I mean east coast interpretations of west coast IPAs. Super fresh. Drink it now and hope they keep making this.

Think Stone IPA, but fresh, which is hard to find around here.

I bought a fresh 6-pack in West Roxbury on 6/14. That's sortof close to 128. I liked it, but agree with jbertsch that their regular IPA does more for me than this one. Not sure if there are still any left, there weren't many 6ers on the shelf.

I like Route 101 but I'm actually more impressed with the Ipswich Hop Harvest.
Regardless, I'm pleased to see that Route 101 will soon be coming in cans:
