Recently, while speaking with the manager of The Iron Abbey, he tells me that they are going to add a large selection in a bottle shop upstairs. Not sure exactly when it will be completed but I'm pretty stoked that another bottle destination will be close to home for me.

    Cheers!

Awesome, I can't wait to check it out, look at the prices, and walk out laughing hysterically.

I'm sure it will be pricey like their drafts, but will it be any worse than the local non-grocery store norm? My guess is no. There is a dearth of bottle shops in that area (I work in Horse Ham), too. Wegman's is the only non-distributor around.

I feel your pain. I'm in Willow Grove but work in Morrisville and if I'm getting bottles I'm getting them closer to Morrsiville because of the price and selection. I won't go to a certain shop in Southampton and the only thing in Willow Grove in terms of take-out beer are six-packs. Which is not bad in a pinch but no where to really "browse" without paying top dollar. Although Mad Mex filling growlers is a plus.

Oh cool, I work in the Ham too.

It's not that I don't welcome another bottle shop, it's more of a personal thing I have with them. Their draft prices are astronomical and I've gotten truly dreadful service on multiple occasions. Like, service so bad I'd be embarrassed if I was at Hooters.

Also, it's hard to have multiple beers there that aren't 7% and above.

I'm in Warrington and Wegman's is basically all we've got so I'm looking forward to at least giving this a shot.

Update: spoke to one of the bartenders today. They got all the necessary approvals last week so construction should be starting very soon.
