Iron Mountain Bottles?

You might find some Shorts at Econo (the Econo in Marquette carried it when I lived there) or even check Wal-Mart. When I was in Escanaba for Christmas they had quite a few different Shorts sixers. Also keep an eye out for any cans of Blackrocks Brewery. They are out of Marquette and have been steadily expanding their distribution. I would highly recommend the 51k IPA.

 

Econo in Iron Mountain has a good selection - lots of Bells. I picked up some Shorts at Wal-Mart a couple of months ago but haven't seen any back there. Blackrocks is at Wal-Mart and I think econo. I think Esky would be a better spot for Shorts. eh. Make sure you say that a lot when you're up there - eh.

 

I know I am bumping this thread, didn't think I needed to make a new one.

I will probably be in Iron Mountain in a week and a half (July 11-13). Does the same hold true as what has already been said in this thread? Any other places to look or check out to try any beers that wouldn't also be distributed in either the Green Bay area or Milwaukee area? Haven't ever had anything from Shorts or Blackrocks.

If you want a better selection, Escanaba is 45 minutes away from Iron Mountain. Sav-Mor has one of, if not the best, selections in the Yoop.

I can't imagine going out of the way 45min both ways with no one else interested in craft beer, but we'll see.

 

on the off chance that you are heading up 41 through Marinette/Menominee, Angeli's has Shorts

 

This is right in my neighborhood. Iron Mountain is the nearest BIG town to Pembine so I go up there once a week for provisions. There's a reason I started homebrewing which lead to opening our little place but that's a whole nother story. Anyways if you're coming up 141 you can get our beer on tap at Newingham's in Wausaukee. He'll fill your growler for you.
