i'm pretty sure I paid something like 7 euro when I was in Belgium, what's that like ~$10 not worth more than $15 imo

While yes, you'll only pay about $10/btl from the abbey, in Belgium - you're paying that plus the cost of importing the beer and markup. I've heard/seen most places in the US selling it for $25-30/btl. I think it's a fair price, and unless you get lucky enough to try it in Belgium, it's worth it. Fantastic quad. Go in on a bottle with 2 or three others and it won't seem as rough. Cheers!

To try it for the first time...I'd do it. And since I'm a quad fan....if you can get another and want to do a $4$ trade, DM me!

I traded for mine. Now he is a super guy, so he might have been extremely fair but I do not recall trading anywhere close to $30 worth of beer for it! More in the range of the lower to mid teens, if that! But seriously it doesn't hit the shelves very often. Was it a none labeled brewery only version or was it one with the painted on marks that came in the "brick"?

Sounds like that store probably got distro of that one when it hit the US awhile back and broke it up into singles. The ones that come straight from the brewery have no label or markings, just a bottle cap with the brewery information and drink by date on it. I don't know if there are any differences, but some people have said there is.

I don't know if "reasonable" is the right word, but if you have never had it and have wanted to $28 isn't going to break the bank. I'd say go for it. You will not be able to get it any other way for any less than that.

LOL. Cask & Flask? I was trying to figure out when I could make it over, but when I saw the cost, I changed my mind.

I wouldn't pay 28 dollars for any single beer, but if you can afford it and are willing to pay that price, then go for it.

There's an online beer store in Belgium that sells it for more than that, then add shipping. Crazy, I tell ya.
