Exactly, "rip-off" is a judgment call, and since many consumers readily pay for that format those customers don't consider it to be either over charging or a rip-off and the potential customers who do think that it is overpriced and not worth the money have the option of other alternatives.

The short answer is yes, but i buy them frequently because that is the format that they are sold in and not in 4 or 6 pks and i want that brew, i dont like it, but i will continue to buy them for certain releases

Every store I've been to that did "make you own 6-pk" only allowed certain beers to be sold in those packs, including grocery stores. If a store does that and loses money it's their fault.

re: the regional laws, there are already tons of regional laws against a variety of beer-related sales. not a valid argument.

so you think just because a person chooses to do something, that means they aren't getting ripped off?

the bottom line is that more often than not the price of bombers at retail stores is exorbitant compared to the price of bottles, or even draft. it's absurd that you can frequently get a beer at a cheaper price per ounce at a bar than buying it retail.

Yes thats right, that is exactly what I think. If you knowingly exchange money for value, e.g., ozs of beer, or convenience of some sort, or preference of some sort, or some combination of all 3 then there is nothing unfair about the exchange. You have chosen to incur the extra expense in exchange for some value rather than walk away. The fact that you can find it cheaper elsewhere and chose not to do so doesn't make the extra costs of what you buy a ripoff.
