Is beer scoring/rating too lenient?

    Well said. In the end ,no rating system is perfect. I think BA does an awesome job overall and beats out the other sites IMO. The ultimate rater is yourself though. Drink what you like!

    I have found that while I may not agree with every rating on BeerAdvocate, far more often than not, I do. For me, the ratings have become an invaluable index for determining the beers that I should seek out, or pass by. Whatever flaws the BA rating system may exhibit, these are eclipsed by its consistent utility. I wouldn't want to be without it. Thanks, BeerAdvocate.
