Is Bells bringing back the Planet series ?

I just had three Mars tonight. Was never able to get the planet series when it was it, but this beer was great. Hopefully I'll see a few of the better planet series around.

 

Mars is the only one coming back, for now. No others have been planned. They might bring back others in the future. The beer release calendar for 2017 is already set in stone. 2018 might have more, no one knows at this point.

 

Picked up a single of Mars this week, drank it tonight and I really enjoyed, going back tomorrow for a six-pack.

 

I hope they do, because I only ever got the chance to try one of them. Neptune, I believe. It was the one that had a crazy amount of spices and flavorings, like licorice, raisin, hickory bark, and black pepper.

 

This one was on the shelves when I got into craft. I didn't realize some beers were one-time, and by the time I figured that out it was gone. I too would like to see it return.

 

Saturn is still aging wonderfully. Had a 2 year old bottle last month, the caramel / toffee / vanilla flavors are really great.

 

I also just had some fresh Mars for the first time, and it was quite good. I think I read somewhere about Mars being better after a few weeks (maybe 4-6)...thoughts???

 

Are they going to add Earth this time? Could give Pluto a break too, used to be considered a planet but now on probation until it cleans up some of the debris floating nearby.

 

I had Mars for the first time yesterday, and it was awesome. Only others I've had were Neptune and Saturn. Neptune, an imperial stout, was good, with a lot of interesting ingredients; and I really liked Saturn, a bourbon barrel barleywine...

I always prefer fresh, but I doubt a few extra weeks is gonna do any harm...

There was no Earth and Pluto yet to be discovered when the piece was orchestrated.

 

I was able to grab Neptune when it came out, and just got Mars a few weeks ago. Acc. to posts I've read, these were some of the best of the bunch.

 

Planet series was okay but if they bring back 30th, I would be happy. Maybe with a barrel treatment?

 

I had it with 4 weeks on it, it still had a lot of hop presence and a good balance of malts, it's very drinkable for such a high ABV. Never had it fresh.

 

I heard they are going to brew earth this time. The label will read "mostly harmless".

 

I'm glad they brought it back, I missed it the first time. I'd still like to get my hands on Mercury and Venus, too. They were three releases in before I realized they were available.
