Is Bourbon County Stout 2021 a myth?

    Did anyone actually get a 2021 release of the base Bourbon Count Stout? All the stores in my area were shipped cases of 2019 BCS. Disappointed to say the least!

    I didn't see a single bottle today. I also didn't leave the house. So many mixed emotions, thoughts, and beliefs.

    Yes to being able to find 2021. But stores near me DID seem to get more 2019 than 2021.

    I saw some on the shelf when picking up some more celebration. They had the cherry one, regular and another one that I forgot about. Passed on all three.

    There is a lot of great beer out there. Find something nice that you don’t have to line up for. Many of us have been doing it without lines for years. Happy beer hunting!

    I didn't leave the house either...surely wouldn't be heading out for BCBS.

    Now, if I still lived in PA, and if I had the funds, I would have been at Free Will Brewing picking up some Ralphius and variants. Especially since there was a limited supply due to the flooding from hurricane Ida.

    Picked up BCBS, the cola one and the double barrel one.

    Didn't go out of my way, just a stop at a bottle shop I frequent.

    I still think BCBS is a bargain, that can stand up against beers twice the price in a blind taste test. And yes, that is based on experience.

    I also encountered the base 21 along with the cola and the cherry wood variants. Never seen anything but the base here. Also never seen them outside of the bevmo in town. The guy at the store said it was weird for him because he had never seen anything but the base come to town and this year the distributor said they got more variants than they did base.

    He gave a prediction of 5 years until base bcbs is gone and only some variants are ever available. I don't agree with his guess

    The only store in my area that gets BCBS got 6 cases of 2018 and 3 cases of the cherry.

    13 (could have bought a few more if I would have known...) were secured yesterday, and one Blanton's.

    Now if I could only find/understand how to share the photo I just carefully took of them...............
