That year was the only BCS I ever bought - the beer guy at the store who I'd hang out with talking beer "saved" one for me not knowing I had no interest in it as an AB product. But, since he put it aside for me, I figured, "Ah, what the hell..."

Then the recall happened, I got my money back but still have the bottle sans whatever label AB required for the refund. I have it somewhere... Still aging "really well" - at least, until I (or my heirs) pop it open and find out.

I'm sure Matt Brynildson is ok with what they have made in the last few years.
We cracked a couple on friday along with some other BA stouts. Not the best, not the worst. In the last couple years they seem to have gotten a abrasive on the palette but could just be me.

Buddy bought a case of it that year. Every year he opens one, "just to see if it got better".

I think I'd use that one for target practice.

For the money, I’d rather have gotten FW Limited Trio…

Picked up 3 bottles of BCBs 2021 today. They had plenty.

I’m sure they will continue to for weeks and possibly months to come.

And given the plethora of vintage bottles of BCBS being put out now it is likely that BCBS 2021 will be available for several years to come.

    Cheers!

Here in historic triangle region of Virginia we had this year’s base along with previous years, cherry wood, fourteen and cola. I just missed the toasted at Total Wine in Norfolk but luckily had a buddy snag me one. I’ll continue to do Black Friday for at least the next couple years. My 40th birthday is the day after Black Friday in 2023 at which point I intend to taste a 10 year vertical with friends.

I didn't seek it out unlike some past years, but just picked up four '21s at the local Plum Market. At the very least they'll add into a nice vertical somewhere down the line. When I'm out in California for a vacation in January, I'll probably be able to pick up a case and maybe a couple variants, as it goes particularly slowly out there. I've spent far too much on The Bruery over the last few months on Black Tuesday and its variants, so BCBS is a little less pressing than it used to be for me.

That all said, I had a nice 10 oz pour at the Red Wings' game last night, and it was delicious.

That’s a far cry from the 11.99 we see. I wouldn’t pay that for it either as I don’t see it to be worth that price. Cheers.

By the time you arrive, all the Blantons will be gone. Better off to stay put.

You're right. Here in California they are shelf turds. Still see 2017-2019 variants , barleywines ,base, and whatever the hell else they make. You'll have no trouble finding all of this new stuff when you make it out here

2 out of 4 stores i purchase beer at ordered this stuff and the other two refuse to order anything from AbInbev becuase it would be an insult to the just as great small breweries they order from. At one of them they've only had one guy come in and ask about bcbs as of last night since the release...they suggested Costco :joy:
    hope it stays that way.
