I saw Creeker (double IPA) on Ithaca Beer Company's facebook on a post dated Oct 10, but I havent seen any other news other than "coming in October" for the Box of Hops. Just wondering if anyone has been at the brewery recently.

    thanks

The Box of hops was worth the price for The Creeker alone! Hope it lands again soon.

    Almost that time of year.

Have you tried the Embrrr? Pretty good Rye Porter.

They'll be expanding the brewery in the future. I hope this means that they'll try putting out new stuff more often.

Will it be same 4 beers as last year? Liked the Creeker (a lot) but not as big a fan of the other two ...

I think they're changing the hops on the creeker for this year

It's out in NY. Saw it yesterday. Double Zilla is out and a red ipa swapped in.

Waiting for it too...I think I got my first case on 10/23 last year...as I remember it was only ten days old with a bottling date of 10/13. Bummed they dropped Double Zilla...I know it did not get a lot of love...but I liked it. Their facebook page said it is being replaced with Rustic Harvest...a red rye IPA.

Picked up a box last night. They were flying off the shelves of my beer store I go to. I'm a little disappointed . Creeker identical to Flower Power IMO. Not a fan of red or black IPA's.
Did score some Bomb while picking it up so all was not lost.

I wouldn't recommend wasting your money on this years Box of Hops. Total let down for the price. Flower Power was extremely weak. Creeker tasting like sucking on an orange and not in a good way. The Red IPA basically just tasted like a Red Ale with no hops to speak of and the Black IPA was meh.

Tried to like it again last night and no go this round either. Trick or treater's dads got a couple I handed out. Had to resort to Xoceveza ,Allagash Curiex and a Narwhal. I was much content with hitting up my stash.

I finally got down to the brewery to try these. I had 'em on tap, so my experience might not match up with you bottle drinkers. I didn't really care for the Rustic Harvest (and I'm a big rye fan). I didn't bother with the Dark Vine, which last year just tasted like a hoppy Ithaca Nut Brown. I really liked the Creeker, though. It didn't seem quite the same as last year... much drier. But I thought it was real good and was bummed that they wouldn't put it in my growler.

Why on earth would they refuse to fill your growler with Creeker?

Almost all of it went into the bottles (or perhaps to bars). They only saved a few kegs for on site consumption.
