Does anyone know if De Cam is open on Saturday now? I know it was Sunday for the longest time, but I've heard that may be open on Saturday. Thanks, Charlie
These days Karel usually opens on Saturdays but days and hours vary. Check their Facebook page (Oude Geuzestekerij De Cam Gooik) for updates, but they're not usually posted more than a day or two ahead. If you're planning a trip, you could send him a message.
Try and contact Karel beforehand to make sure they will be open, or as others have mentioned, he usually confirms they are open a couple days in advance on facebook. If you haven't been, it is well worth the visit. I took a bus from gare du midi to the village a couple of years ago and it was a short 5 minute walk to the brewery and only 1 line all the way. Very easy.
