Anaconda Malt Liquor, when you pop the top, the panties drop!

I'm good for a Black Dynamite quote on here once every year or so. One of my favorite comedies ever.

Rogue made a fantastic one before they retired it.

On a side note in my many years of drinking beer I have never.. NEVER seen a malt liquor beer on tap at a bar ever.

Daddy's Little Helper? I always wanted to try that. I sometimes see something on the shelf with that same name, but it isn't a malt liquor.

    you are correct.

The beer had the same name, and they transferred it over to their black IPA/ale..

but the long legacy of Malt Liquor quality satisfaction of Dad's Little has long since been retired. I really enjoyed it.

I did not realize that brewing malt liquor is a trend as I've never seen a craft brewery making one. I know Founders has DKML coming out soon, I'll try it but I doubt it will taste like everyday malt liquors. I used to slam malt liquor beers back in high school and college, especially when funds were low.

One of my local breweries has one as one of their core offerings.. Totally forgettable imho. It's just a high booze bomb (if thats your thing).

Not trending in the slightest in my area.

    No.

Haven't seen it anywhere on tap but read about one here /there.

But another gimmick in this time of hypercompetition-uh YES.

Nothing new here--call it what you want. 40 yrs ago (and now), it was just another term for high ABV malt beverage--and a sweet, adjunct laden sticky mess. Not sure before that--was too young then. There was a very specific target audience in the 70s-90s--then the ICE beer phase of the 90s to sell similar (not identical) product to a different audience without calling it malt liquor...........

    Now "millinified"

    Give me a break.

Aren't malt liquors pretty high in fusel alcohols? That sounds pretty unappealing to me. In addition to making for bad hangovers, that stuff is pretty toxic.
